Ability to keep people in a project vs. just removing them and classifying why they are not a fit

It would be helpful if you could not just remove people from projects but classify them as to status. So if someone doesn't meet criteria or works for the same Company you would downgrade them to a status of some sort. Something like Not a Match; Works at Company; Doesn't meet criteria; Wrong location; etc... Removing them from the project means you lose the history of how many people have been considered.
